Orange and Yellow Are Not The Only Colours

By Teacup

Ok, seriously, what is up with all those Dominic Monaghan/Elijah Wood slashing freaks? If you want to write cute little stories about Character A (who happens to share a name with a movie actor) rimming Character B (who happens to share a name with a movie actor) then go ahead. The internet consists of about 80% visual porn, 10% textual porn and 10% other textual somethings which are mostly people attempting not to think or write about porn and failing. Trust me, the internet does not have an issue against porn. What netizens do tend to have an issue with is those who write porn (about others they've spent at most 30 hours interacting with) and then magically decide that it's true (about others they've spent at most 30 hours interacting with).

I mean, come on. Secret messages? Analysing body language? Endless speculation and a complete lack of privacy, taste or decency in the matter? Are we back in school again? (hi snacky!)

So not every person who believed that "Dom" and "Lij" were together was involved in every aspect of the "Tinhat" trainwreck, but you sure didn't fight against it either. I know that fandom tends to give one a certain blindless against what the actual majority of the world thinks and sees but really. Groupthink going a little too far there.

Then, not only believing that movie stars are contacting you through an anonymous gay message board to secretly spread the word about their homosexuality since iron clad contracts signed whilst working on a male-aimed fantasy film forbid them to reveal aforementioned homosexuality for fear that the then non-existant female teenage audience would boycot it (deep breath) you accept the production of a rhyme as proof of this. Um, are you people retarded? I know that bored, powerless housewife thing only actually applies to a few of you but the mentality just runs through your whole group. Physical appearance doesn't enter into this - but thanks for repeatedly trying to use it as an excuse to ignore and attack others.

Isn't it funny how on the internet, unless you choose to put information out there, people don't judge you on one single thing except your words. In the case of these wackos: no one cares what you look like, no one cares if you spent your day stuck in front of a computer screen or if you spent it out campaigning for gay rights. All people care about are those little 26 characters (plus assorted punctuation) printed in black and white (hopefully, if your text is purple on a yellow background damn straight I'll judge you on that) and the various reassortments of them you use as the only method with which to display your thoughts and ideas. So if you run around crying that people online hate you because you're fat, or because you're gorgeous, or because you have dyslexia all you're going to get is a big FUCK OFF.

And really, not in a good way.
